Hello my name is Andrew and I have gained much information from these pages for which I thank you all very much.
My question is Can the inlet manfold between the carb and the rotary valve be too short??
I race a PVP 251 motor which has a relatively short manifold. It could however be made 5mm shorter quite easily. Would there be an advantage in doing this? Or should I leave it alone. Question 
I have researched these pages but could not find the answer. I aplogise if this topic has been previously covered.

Moadoc,

Perhaps its better to post this question in the jan and Frits topic.
What i remember is that you want to be as close as you can.
In your case its just 5mm and worth a try. When it doesnt work its an easy task to go back to where you where.
Disc rotation plays a role in how the mixture behaves. Opening from the bottom of the carb is best as stated by jan and Frits. The closer the disc is to the carb would be enhanceing this probably.

I'm no expert but it might give you something to start with.

Thanks for that. Yes I did want to post it in the Jan and Frits topic but all the writing is in French and I pressed the wrong tab lol!
