Seems to me you would gain on gas speed and probably a little weight also with hydroforming technic. I first saw this by Millet for 2str exhausts, titanium should be more tricky but with some care on preheating etc. why not... this guy failed at first try

removing the seal ( I even mill the spark seat sometimes ) will bring the spark itself more in the center of the combustion chamber , on this engine it's about an 1/2 hp everywhere a bit more at peak torque
Changing a parameter, gaining 0.5HP and telling this gain is only comming from this change looks strange to me.
Question, and I admit beeing wrong: Could this gain be due to tests not running at the exact same conditions, even if they are run within minutes. Time to stop everything, change the sparkplug, re-run the motor, etc... will probably change room temperature, engine temperature, tire temperature,... and all these small differences in test conditions will give you the 0.5HP gain you see. In different conditions, you will probably see a 0.5HP drop.

believe me when i say what i say lol , and i tried almost everything possible with this engine , the best gain is the plug 3 mm down , if you raise the plug 2 mm from stock you start loosing , and a lot !!!

Just got back from 2 races on Mettet this weekend. I didn't like the track at all (to short an to much slow corners)
BUT the bike worked very well! New exhaust is clearly better and chassis responds very good to changes.
I only had 2x15 min. of practice before the race and never had ridden there before so not optimal...
Humm, your topic is in the wrong place, even if it's not a conventional bike... I can see this one works with electricity!!!

I don't like it either, can't say why but not becaue it's short (for example, I like Croix en Ternois).
great bike btw, hope to see it in action one day, and bring your stroker to that day

first point:
next weekend (after motogp at assen) the LC4 engine will opened up, I will mill the head down for more compression (thank you @ fd-racing for the tips) and install the new piston.
second point:
NEW PROJECT has started!
I started design on a whole new bike. This one will have a self made structural (!!!) engine, ones I finished some sketches I will put them online
regards!

Yeahh that rocks!
It's a very big job but I think that the structural engine is the right thing (I'm a Britten fan) I was thinking to take all the inside of an existing engine like KTM LC8, and put them in a all new casing. For me it's just an idea and i won't do it before yeaaaaaaaaaarssss.
So i'm happy that you start a porject. I'm confident you will do it good. Can't wait to see your sketches.

I'm racing in the EC supermono on oschersleben with my mono during the WC endurance weekend there.
I'll be in the paddock from 21/08 until sunday evening. If you want to have a look at my mono or have a chat I'd love to see you there!
I'm putting this here because I know how crazy you guys are about endurance so I think there might be a chance that one of you is there?
cheers!

Update:
Point 1:
Got ran of by another rider during qualifying @ Oschersleben speedweek. Broken colarbone and 2 cracked ribs
Supermono damage was "ok" but it needs work. I'll post pictures of the upgrades if I make them.
Point 2: I started work on a Moto2 frame!!!
Because the R6 from yamaha has a much better engine than the cbr600 from Honda I decided to try and make a lightweight frame round the R6 engine that has to give the same confidence that the cbr600 chassis gives.
I'm planning on making a kit frame that holds the original swinging arm and suspension, fueltank, fairing etc. So you can just buy the kit and keep all the other original parts. I've also found a professional testrider to help develop the chassis!
Also making modifications to my supermono, starting with the engine...

Hey Martijn, Have you weighed the stock R6 frame?
Not yet, but I'll let you know soon!
For what it is worth. The official FIM Superstock weight of the R6 chassis is 10.4 Kg. BO is 6.2 KG. Just for fun the YZF125r chassis(Made in France) weighs 17Kg(Inc subframe).
