Designée par John Keogh et construite par Taylormade à Van Nuys en Californie du Sud, elle utilise un châssis exosquelette en carbone et une sorte de Télélever à l'avant.

J'adore la "bouche" qui semble faire un rot

Sans préjuger en rien de ses qualités, je trouve que le surnom "le mérou" lui irait assez bien...

En tout cas, je n'irai pas jusqu'à dire que c'est beau mais on peut difficilement faire plus original !

Toujours est-il que cette moto présente bien des originalités intéressantes, y compris dans la technique de mise en oeuvre du carbone, dont nous pourrions en savoir plus grâce à un contact direct avec son designer.

Effectivement, original les fourreaux de fourche montés à l'envers pour avoir les tubes en haut.. Il fallait y penser..

Because for anybody who has been designing à "TELELEVER" kinetics once in its life : It clear that it will need billions of prayers and more, to do what a fast bike has to do... lol

But I do love the carbon "monocoque" !

C'est vrai qu'elle est "incroyable" cette moto2..

Le mot "exosquelette" est bien approprié..la selle et le réservoir final forment le cadre..
Dommage pour le telever..

Peut etre une entourloupe pour contourner le réglement =ne pas toucher à la boite à air , mais enfermer celle-ci dans une autre boite ...va savoir

Cette moto donne l'impression que la moindre petite chute va couter très très cher ...

Mais en tout cas, c'est beau, ça change un peu !

It reminds me of the original Honda NR500 (the "Never Ready"): same exoskeleton-frame. If you wanted to change jets, you had to take the engine out of the frame.
Well, it seems every new generation of engineers has to make its own mistakes....

Pourquoi inventer un nouveau mot ? Pourquoi "exosquelette"? Il y a un mot français très connu et qui convient très bien :
En plus c'est de saison...

Où se situe le radiateur?
Sous la selle au bout des deux conduits latéraux ou au bout du conduit central?

The radiator is in the rear ala Britten ,hence the four ducts , two are hanging loose with the
front fairing removed. The other two ducts feed the STANDARD airbox.
Another interesting aspect is the layup of the monocoque TUB no autoclave has been used,
instead they have employed the techniques of Burt Rutan which are much more cost effective.
Check out Burt Rutan, a very very interesting man, with almost as many quotes as Einstein.

Some figures , 1350mm wheelbase, swing arm 585mm and the Tub is just a single layer
3mm thick so just 6mm wider than the engine.

Another question: Are the "mudguards", over and under the swing arm, contributing to the rigidity or maybe the inferior one could have an "aero" function?

I don't think there has been too much thought given to aerodynamics at the moment , however
thank you for referring to it as a mudguard. I always have to explain to my American friends
that a Fender is a guitar!

The bike has been tested by Shawn Higbee the ex Buell works with encouraging results.

Not perfect but encouraging.
